Community Garden...

For  more than 9 years the Northeast Community Center provided sit for neighbors to garden..  To support a planned facility expansion that will increase access to health care services and provide  space for a youth development program, in 2007, The Northeast Community Center  moved the Community Garden to a new site on Rypien Field, at the corner of Lacy and Liberty.
Although the number of available garden spaces nearly doubled,   all were quickly filled with neighbors wanting to grow their own vegetables.  Comcast donated their time and efforts to provide  new playground equipment close by and AVISTA  added lighting to the walking path that encompasses the entire field.

For more information please call Amber at the Northeast Community Center at 487-1603.
