Established in 1994, for 13 years the Northeast Community Center provided site for neighbors to garden. Then in 2007, to support of our Expansion Effort the garden was relocated to a new site. The new site is on Andrew Rypien Field, located at the corner of Lacy Ave. and Liberty Street.
Although the number of available garden spaces nearly doubled,   all were quickly filled with neighbors wanting to grow their own vegetables.  Comcast donated their time and efforts to provide  new playground equipment close by and AVISTA  added lighting to the walking path that encompasses the entire field.
